Frequently asked questions

What is a retainer?

A retainer is like a security deposit.  In addition to entering a written fee agreement, new clients will be required to provide a retainer deposit, the amount of which will depend upon the nature and complexity of the matter.  The deposit is held in my attorney trust account according to the terms of a written agreement.

How can you hire me?

If you would like to hire me please call me at 571-308-5820 so that we can discuss the scope of the representation, the retainer requirement, and so I can send you a written fee agreement.

What forms of payment are accepted?

I accept cash, check and credit cards for payment of fees and retainers. Credit cards are processed through Law Pay, a service approved by the Virginia and Maryland state bar associations where you enter your payment information directly.

Do I provide free consultations?

Yes, I will gladly speak with you about your matter and any potential representation. Please call me at 571-308-5820.

How can you get a copy of your file?

All client files are kept in a secure cloud storage system.  At any time you may request a copy of any portion of your file and it will be provided via a secure email link.
